Important Installation Information

The upper mounting holes in the new vent window frame are not pre-drilled and must be drilled during installation.

This allows the vent window assembly to be positioned and aligned to the individual door before the final upper mounting holes are created.

Install and properly position the new vent window assembly in the door first. Then use the existing factory mounting holes in the upper door frame as your guide. Using the provided drill bit, drill through the new vent window frame at these locations and secure the assembly using the supplied stainless steel screws.

Because the mounting holes are drilled only after the assembly has been positioned in the door, their location can be matched to the existing factory mounting points on your individual truck.

Do not drill the upper mounting holes before fitting and aligning the vent window assembly in the door.

As with reproduction and aftermarket restoration parts, differences between individual doors, previous repairs, replacement sheet metal, alignment, and other modifications can affect final fitment.

Glass Run Channel & Division Bar Liner

Replacing the vent window is also a good time to inspect the rest of the window channel components in your door.

We offer the 1981-1991 one-piece glass run channel and division bar liner combination for compatible applications. Replacing worn window channels while the door is apart can help complete the restoration and prevent having to disassemble the door again later.

Important Fitment Information

Although these are commonly referred to as 1981-1991 Squarebody vent window assemblies, not every model continued through 1991.

Chevrolet and GMC pickup applications changed during this generation. Beginning in 1987, the previous Squarebody-style trucks that remained in production were generally identified using R/V-Series model designations, while certain Blazer, Jimmy, Suburban, and crew cab applications continued using the Squarebody body style through 1991.

Please verify the year, make, model, body style, and driver/passenger side of your vehicle before ordering.
