Add the convenience and reliability of a new 8-position tilt ignition column built specific for your Chevy Truck. This steering column is not a universal column that requires modification of your original vehicle to install. Simply remove your old column saving your original under-dash mount as well as the original floor mount. Using one of our installation kits install your new steering column in place of the old. Add an aftermarket wheel and the gripping surface of the new wheel will be in the same location as the original or use your original wheel on top of this column. Don’t forget your installation kit each installation kit from IDIDIT is specific to your Chevy Truck. Column comes standard with 8-position tilt ignition 3 7/8” wire plug self-canceling turn signals 4-way flashers knob handles neutral safety switch lower indexable shift arm and lower shaft of 1” 48. IDIDIT’s retrofit tilt column is designed for a perfect fit on 1971-76 Impala Caprice and 1973-78 Chevrolet Trucks, requiring no modifications to your original vehicle. Simply remove your old column and reuse your original under dash and floor mounts for easy installation. This chrome column includes a keyed ignition and a neutral safety switch (shift indicator not included). Compatible with 3 or 4-speed automatic transmissions, it requires a shift linkage to connect to the lower shift arm. Add an adapter to install an aftermarket steering wheel and enjoy enhanced control and style.
